well, i started on a script to read in the output of `api-diff' (see
recent guile-sources posting), and write out (possibly) machine-readable
references for each symbol, but got bogged down in unrelated matters;
been dealing w/ a(nother) dead lap-top since the 19th...

probably better to let me suffer through this on my own, and instead
take a look at some of the not-yet-fixed bugs.  on the other hand,
xfree86 4.x config is grinding me down (slowly), so if you can whip up
an xref script in the next day or so, go for it.

(i'll be checking in api-diff shortly in any case.)
