How to send wheel tick information for Automotive dead reckoning to ublox M8 in linux?

Hello all,

Does anybody know the best way to send wheel tick information (ie. 
UBX-CFG-ESFWT and UBX-ESF-MEAS) to a ublox GPS receiver while gpsd is running? 
Should this be done via the ubxtool (https://gpsd.gitlab.io/gpsd/ubxtool.html)? 
ublox receivers use this information for their automotive dead reckoning.
