No. I did as a regular user.
You are totally dead if you can't optn the /dev/ttyUSB0. gpsd can't read the mind of the GPS without a connection to it. What are the file perms on that device?
ls -l /dev/ttyUSB0 crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 188, 0 set 19 19:37 /dev/ttyUSB0 And I'm a member of uucp... Pedro
