Irrespective of where debian has come from we have to honor our current
policy (or change it).

If debian is interpreting the GPL OpenSSL issue incorrectly then it would
firstly require convincing the people on debian-legal that they are wrong,
and i have been told on irc that if someone was to try and doso they
better come bearing lawyers, its a legal argument.

If RMS's comments stating its ok were publically available it would be
something to work from, but i dont think they are.

I did send a message to a fsf licensing email address regarding this issue
some time ago and never got a response.
