than likely that if gnunet will be able to provide a stable and 
reliable mechanism for file transfers, third parties will create 
the index sites.


ps. related to the namespaces and 'keys with dates attached'
-schemes, the later way has already been proven in freenet
to be unusable. After the developers recently succeeded in making 
the network work better, junk flooding became an everyday trouble
in frost. Apparently people disliking the idea of the system 
have built scripts to insert junk content to freenet with the
keyword+timestamp combination frost uses for key listings. Index
lists in web is one way to thwart this. Controlled namespaces are
another. Neither suits application like realtime messaging
or file sharing though (the problem with namespaces is that
people have to know which namespaces to trust, or which
namespaces to search the files from - where would the 
reliable and unspammable, yet uncensorable namespace listings
be kept? The original problem resurfaces).
