Bajusz:Do you have anything done on the HR part yet? I wasn't able to find documentation or downloads for the HR applications on the Gnu-E website.
As you state, several parts of an HR system, especially Payroll and regulatory reporting, are very country-specific. On the other hand, the bulk of the HR infrastructure is there to support data storage, and a lot of that can architecture be designed to be fairly generic, as long as there is a mechanism for handling exceptions or differences for specific countries built-in. If you're truly shooting for an "Enterprise" application, one thing the system is going to need to deal with is that a lot of companies exist in multiple countries and use multiple languages. Without this ability, a lot of companies won't even consider the product.
I'd be curious to see what you've done so far. Jeff On May 28, 2004, at 1:27 PM, Bajusz Tamás wrote:
First, sorry for answering a little late. I'm wery happy to hear a voice like yours, koz my main goal here to implement my old style (foxpro) HR/payroll/tax calculation system in gnue. I know this part of an enterprise system is wery country specific (by law), but i like to learn more about how this goes on the other side of the globe :) Bajusz Tamás (btami)
