Could you post debug messages.
There is a problem with usbserial module. It kind of behaves badly when not used for some time.
Sometimes the device corresponding to cell phone i.e. /dev/ttyUSB0 shifts to /dev/ttyUSB1, and this process continues.
Run gnokii in debug mode and see the debug messages

Hi,

I am facing a peculiar problem with gnokii. It works beautifully for a couple of times, then chokes on this particular system call.

  ioctl(4, SNDCTL_TMR_TIMEBASE or TCGETS, {B0 -opost -isig -icanon -echo ...}) = 0
  ioctl(4, SNDCTL_TMR_STOP or TCSETSW <unfinished ...>

I am using usbserial cable, and if I unplug the cable and insert it back, gnokii starts working, but only for a couple of times, after which it gets stuck at the same point. Could anyone tell me any workaround for this. It must be that there is some way to 'flush' the serial cable other than reinserting it.

Thanks in advance.
