IMHO, the main question: Are developers ready to merge their projects?
I don't like Ubuntu and would prefer a Debian-based distribution.
Will the developers of Trisquel change their base to Debian? :)
I can imagine that some people like Ubuntu... So, the question
can be repeated "in the other direction".
In some ways, it is good that there are different fully free distros:
you can "choose your way" to freedom.
