Hi,

The flash test at http://www.rtideas.com/flash/zoomhenge.swf provides an excellent test for several parts of the flash (ahem) standard, including animation, bitmap loading, mouse input, keyboard input, sound, and special effects.

It's 200K so I'm not going to even try uploading it to the list.

Results of a successful test:
A magnifying glass is superimposed over a photograph of Stonehenge, movable by the mouse. If the LM button is pressed the magnifying glass 'zooms in', presenting an enlarged section of the scene in the glass area. Pressing the down arrow key zooms back out. Moving the glass towards the upper-right section of the monument reveals a small green animated character standing on one of the rocks. The higher the zoom level, the more audible his "help me" becomes. Clicking the LMB on the character 'shoots' him, ending the animation and the sound but otherwise allowing the test to continue.

Gnash gets some of this right. About half the background is drawn, the animated character is moving, and the zooming feature now works in the latest nightly.

I have obtained permission from the developer to include it with the gnash test suite, and highly recommend its inclusion in the CVS.

Greg
