At one point, I started creating an NSIS script for an installer, but I don't think I ever checked it into bzr. NSIS is free and open source, non-GPL.

I'm not sure if this is a problem for the Gnash project to use NSIS. Can anyone else speak to that matter?

I think it should be fine. I do not believe that using NSIS to package
Gnash constitutes as a derivative work (which would require GPL
compatibility). However, even if one were to assume that a NSIS-packaged
Gnash does constitute a derivative work, then it's still easy to comply
with the GPL. All of NSIS except for the LZMA compression module are
available under GPL-compatible license. So if you want to be extra safe,
don't use LZMA.
