Now that the holidays are behind us, I am returning to this issue.
Actually, only the second error message appears to be genuine. There
is,
however, another problem: the fact that "writelauncher" does not
exist on my
system -- or, for that matter, anywhere in the Debian archive. And
that
appears to be a problem mainly because of failure of the expected
error
message file to appear.
