You're probably right, there must have been another reason then.
Maybe check commit 5dcdd0cf273a258250e4ea82b394f74bbd92823a 
it could have been with deleting resources from GcResource
destructors.  Maybe not a problem anymore as we leave ownership
purely to the GC.
