Very Strong Linux Administration Skills (Red Hat/Suse)
Competence in Solaris is mandatory
Good Understanding of TCP/IP.
Experience/exposure to SAN environments.
Experience in Clusters (any).
Position: Linux Administrator
Experience: 4 – 6 yrs
Work Location: Bangalore
Skill Set:
Strong Linux administration experience is a must. In addition, Sun Solaris 9, 10 experience is also a must.
* Technical skills include Linux patching, troubleshooting, break fix, upgrades and migration from one OS platform to Linux platform.
* TCP/IP, good understanding of networks, shell scripting and application installation support.
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Clusters, Volume manager experience
* Day to day activity ranges from as simple a task as user creation/deletion to building servers, filesystem creation/growth/mirroring/maintenance using local/SAN disk, Enable/disable Multi Pathing for SAN disks, package/patch maintenance, network config using IP Multi Pathing, performance/kernel tuning, co-ordinating with vendors like Sun/Veritas/IBM/etc., troubleshooting all kind of problems on servers, etc
