Great idea! I've added your patch, and then a couple of modifications:
i've put the new command also in the Geiser menu (to ease discovery, i'm
not expecting people inserting lambdas using the menu!) and i've bound
it to C-c \, because C-\ is a standard emacs binding and i'm expecting
people wanting to override it to know how to do that :)
BTW, Guile also supports Greek lambdas, so that all Geiser users can
enjoy your new command. Thanks a lot!
