Hi all,

I found GNOME developer pages for my questions regarding library 
interfaces and have begun to change code. As I'm following a top-down 
approach, first points have been library versions and requirements in 
file "configure.ac".

Some more package configuration files are now handled by glib and do not 
need to be checked separately.

I'm not very familiar with git, but trying to commit changes for your 
review.
