Note that the scope is under negotiation (for example, see [1]). Give
enough feedback from interested parties, the W3C may stick to the
narrow scope and exclude the more controversial CDM (ie DRM) portions.
People who feels passionately about this subject (and I'm reaching the
point now where I'm going to stop worrying), could do worse than
engage with the W3C process and press there to limit the standard to a
simple key exchange API capable of implementation in Free Software...
