Oops - didn't find this before forwarding it myself just now (coming back to
a large email pile). Apologies for duplication.

I'll be there.

Part of the plan is to try and go over the proposed legislation and propose
some real amendments, for example to protect Free Software explicitly and
otherwise try to limit what is patentable and what is deemed to be
infringement as much as possible (given that it is unlikely that the
legislation will simply be completely defeated).

There will probably be two speakers then discussion. I have little idea how much
you will miss if leaving in time to get back to Norfolk by train.
