Subject: | [Freeipmi-devel] readline install not detected by freeIPMI |
Date: | Thu, 28 Oct 2004 18:42:06 -0500 |
Hi all, I
hate to spam a list like this, but I didn’t see any bug-reports or
problem section on the main page… please direct me if I’m
wrong. I’m trying to use FreeIPMI to read the SEL off of a Dell 6650,
except I’m having difficulty installing the program. I did standard
./configure and make/make installs on guile 1.6.5 and readline 4.3, and these
seemed to be successful, but when I run a make on FreeIPMI 0.1.0, it complains
about: Fish(PANIC): strange readline library, no compatible
"rl_completion_matches" call, please submit BUG-REPORT The machine is running VMWare ESX 2.0, which is based on a 2.4.9
kernel. Also, I’m not super-adept in Linux, though I muck around OK,
but I’m pretty sure the steps I took were straightforward.
Personally, I’m curious about the path the compiler uses to find the
readline library, as there’s a readline library in /usr/lib and my
install of readline was placed in /usr/local/lib. Thanks, Andrew Noonan BMC Software, Inc. |
