Avro keyboard is the first FREE and UNICODE compliant full featured Bangla Typing Software for windows.

 New features + Bug fixes of Avro Keyboard 1.1.2 : 

This is the most significant update of Avro Keyboard. Hours after hours we have worked on the source code and have enhanced it. Thanks to those who sent emails to us saying feature requests and bug reports. We are hopeful about this version of Avro Keyboard, as users’ choice has been valued most.

New UI (User Interface): Along with the icon on the system tray, users will experience a new application Top Bar on the Desktop. All the necessary controls are now close at hand.

Enhanced Interface: We have imitated the award winning Windows Xp and office Xp like menus, buttons, check boxes, option buttons, combo lists etc. Good news for windows 2000 users, these good looking interface also works on this operating system.

New Keyboard Layout: We have done some experimental operations on the present layouts and presented a new and Easy to memorize keyboard layout named Avro Easy. Hope you will like it.

Updated Keyboard Layout: UniBijoy keyboard layout has been upgraded to version 2. Two necessary Assamees characters have been added.

Updated “Khandatta”: Recently the character coding of “Khandatta” has been changed from ta+Halant to ta+Halant+ZWJ. This has been updated in this version.

More Powerful Layout Viewer: This excellent tool for viewing the active keyboard layout has more power now. You can easily resize the layout image, know description about the layout. It also saves your settings and windows position.

Automatic Vowel Forming: Unleash your typing speed with this great algorithm. In a good number of cases, simply typing the kar/matra/short form of vowel will produce the full form of vowel automatically, there is no need to type the Link key. For detail information, please read the Bangla Typing Guide.

Old Style “Reph”: Although in phonetic typing method reph is typed at the beginning of a consonant, this may be seemed peculiar to the users (and it happened!). Avro Keyboard now uses the “auto reph” feature, which will automatically move the reph at the beginning of a consonant when you type it at the end.

Bug Fixes: Menu on the system tray was not disappeared until you clicked on a item. This bug is fixed.

Now Font: This version of Avro Keyboard comes with the new Vrinda font from Microsoft.

Updated Installer: The enhanced installer will turn on auto start of Avro Keyboard with windows.

Multiple User Support: All the user data are stored uniquely. If you like to use Avro easy layout and Avro Keyboard in the system tray mode while another user of the same computer uses UniBijoy keyboard layout and Avro Keyboard in the Top Bar mode, both of you will get your settings worked.

Automatic Keyboard Mode Tracking: This is the most requested feature of Avro Keyboard. Now different applications/windows win different keyboard modes (System default/Bangla) are tracked by Avro keyboard

Subscription Wizard: For novice computer users, we have introduced a wizard based subscription form for Avro Keyboard.

Minor Changes: All the instance of “Bengali” has been changed to “Bangla” :)
