[Erc-discuss] Release timeline for ERC 5.1.3

Here's a very rough timeline for the ERC 5.1.3 release.  Feel free to
reply to this if you'd like to help out with any particular item (or
add something to the timeline).  If you're a developer who hasn't
checked out the Arch branch(es) for ERC or registered with Savannah,
now would be a good time.

2006-06-26: Merge changes into the erc--rel--5.1 branch and use it as
the basis of the release for the next couple of days.

2006-06-27: Work on fixing Adrian's log recording issue.

Adrian: I'm going to be on #emacs IRC around 9:30pm (fixed time URL:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=6&day=27&year=2006&hour=21&min=30&sec=0&p1=105)
in case I need additional feedback; does that day/time work for you?

2006-06-28: Consider erc-track+bitlbee patch from Mark Plaksin.

2006-06-29: Canonicalize the filename used for logs, as suggested by
Tassilo Horn.  All-lowercase is probably the convention we'll go with,
in order to avoid problems with two differently-capitalized nicks on
FAT filesystems.

2006-06-30: Add a little content to the docs, especially mentioning
the use of `erc-update-modules' if you don't use the customize
interface.

2006-07-01: Roll the release.  Apply changes back to erc--main--0.

2006-07-02: Apply changes to the erc--emacs--21 branch.  Update the
version of ERC in the Emacs source tree to be 5.1.3.

At some point during this week I might try to set up a custom
automated log-mailing script to send log messages to
address@hidden
