SDL 2 - Mouse leaving window

SDL 2 works pretty fine, but sometimes I have the issue that the mouse leaves the window.
E.g. "bridge in the gap" or some labyrinth mazes...
Could not make it reproducible yet, but does anyone have the same issue?

Running from dev branch on linux...
