There's one registry key pointing to a user-specific application data
folder:
| HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
| Entry: "AppData"="C:\\WINDOWS\\Application Data"
According to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/msi/setup/per_user_installations.asp
this exists for most windows versions and it should point to different
directories, when logged in as different users. I did not prove this,
cause my win only knows one user.
