Won't using "\\" in this construct produce what the OP requested?
This:
#+BEGIN_SRC org
Some text\\
new line.
#+END_SRC
Becomes this:
#+BEGIN_HTML
<p>Some text<br/>
new line.
</p>
#+END_HTML
