[Orgmode] Bug when following a link

hello,

i use org-mode 4.67 in emacs 21.4.1 on linux and 
get a hang-up when i try to follow an internal 
link (C-c C-o, Mouse-2).

simple test case:

[[foo%20is%20explained%20here][foo]]

foo is explained here.

(end test case)

emacs seems to be trapped in an infinite loop 
somewhere in org-search-not-self.

any ideas?
