On the mnemonic side, there would be no value, as there's no 'b' in the command
name.
But from a movement perspective, dired-up-directory can be seen as a motion
opposite of dired-find-file, which can go down a directory.
In this line of thought, dired-find-file would be going 'f'orwards,
while dired-up-directory would be going 'b'ackwards.
Hope this clarifies things a bit more.
