If people read Linux Magazine they might remember in each
issue there was a summary of the discussions on LKML (which
supposedly has 10 000+ posts _a week_), the article was
usually 2-3 pages with no pictures, and it was mostly or
almost impossible to understand for anyone on the outside, yet
it was probably the most interesting piece in the
whole magazine.

Maybe we can have something like that, and combine it with the
Emacs News?

So the first article can start with this very post, "It all
started, this week on gnu.emacs.devel, with fond memories from
reading Linux Magazine at the public library, with an empty
stomach and a hunger for knowledge ..."
