I'm more important, so I get to decide.  And by "important" I mean

Very good point.  The GNU ELPA infrastructure might need some beefing up
before it can produce a good package from the Org source code.  I don't
know the specific, but a few other packages require such extra "build"
stage (AUCTeX comes to mind, as does the recent discussion about Texinfo
docs), so it's something that needs to happen anyway.
