Building Emacs-CVS (20061219) on Cygwin, I have observed:
-----------------------------------------
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: WARNING: /tmp/emacs/Makefile.in seems to ignore the
--datarootdir setting
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
config.status: creating lib-src/Makefile.c
config.status: creating oldXMenu/Makefile
config.status: creating man/Makefile
config.status: creating lwlib/Makefile
config.status: creating src/Makefile.c
config.status: creating lisp/Makefile
config.status: creating lispref/Makefile
config.status: creating lispintro/Makefile
config.status: creating leim/Makefile
config.status: WARNING: /tmp/emacs/leim/Makefile.in seems to ignore the
--datarootdir setting
^^^^^^^^^^^
config.status: creating src/config.h
config.status: executing default commands
-----------------------------------------
But emacs/Makefile.in is dated 20061203 and I have done several builds
since 20061203 without those WARNINGs.
So I conclude that, perhaps, the come from today 'configure.in' and
'configure' (regenerate).
I note also a different distribution in the final build:
the info directory has been transferred from emacs/ to emacs/share
Angelo.
