I'm idly interested in the possibility of getting paredit.el into GNU
Emacs. What might this entail, if it is possible?
For those of you unfamiliar with it, paredit.el is a package of
commands for keeping all parentheses balanced while editing Lisp code
(or any parenthesized text, really), across both parenthesis insertion
and character deletion; a number of other commands for high-level
operations on S-expression structures, such as splitting and joining
expressions, splicing the contents of a list into the enclosing list,
and so on; and a minor mode with many keys bound to these commands.
Paredit.el is available at
<http://mumble.net/~campbell/emacs/paredit.el>,
with the current beta in paredit-beta.el; there's also an HTML
fragment (not a full page) listing all the keybindings in the paredit
minor mode at
<http://mumble.net/~campbell/emacs/paredit.html>.
