[Dvdrtools-users] Sony DRU-500A

Howdy,

 I managed to get a Sony DRU-500A out of a 3-year service plan at best buy
on a SCSI writer that died, and I seem to be having some problems, the same
problems that others have experienced (i read the archives):

I noticed that one person had some success with cdrecord-prodvd, but I 
get the following:

The medium is a Memorex DVD-RW v1.1 disc, which works fine in the drive in
Windows (luckily I keep a minimal installation handy).

I'm willing to test patches, or provide an account if necessary for getting
this drive to work.

FYI, I have upgraded the firmware on the drive from the original 1.0c to 1.0d,
which seems to be the only difference between my drive, and the persons drive
who got it to work with cdrecord-prodvd (address@hidden (Jussi-Pekka Sairanen))
