This patch works fine, broken transfers are restarted. But it does not
prevent data corruption.
I think that when the connection is bad, and you need to restart the
transfer multiple times, it is probable that the data gets corrupted
(with ftp).
That happened to me several times, and you can't know that it is
corrupted unless you verify your backup, so it is VERY dangerous.

I think the local (incremental) backup with rsync is the most reliable
method. FTP is NOT reliable. This makes duplicity less useful, as there
are other simpler scripts that can do that.
