My understanding of what will be done for GEAS v2 is that it is going to 
be a fundimental rewrite, and will support XMLRPC (and perhaps SOAP) using
the "gnurpc" library they are also creating, rather than Corba.  I would 
suggest speaking with the GNUe people directly and see what they are doing 
and see if we can help them in common goals first, rather than forking off 
an entirely new application server project.
