I've done some more work on making it easier to create new preferences.
The trailblazing example it a new section for pitchentry parameters and
a setting for the temperament parameter in that section.
There are still half a dozen modification points in the code for
including one more preference, but they are now fairly short (or will be
when all the old ones have been shrunk down using the macros define for
the "temperament" preference.

I've also tidied up the name of the first section which referred to some
plan to have different methods of entry, but then got hi-jacked for
preferences for the view menu. The final state of the view menu is not
(I guess) being stored in the preferences, perhaps this is ok -
beginners prefer to re-start to get things back that they have hidden.
