P.S. I have to add that I observed this issue on SUSE's OpenBuildService,
i.e., on an emulated aarch64.  I don't have direct access to that system
so that I can't "stat /proc/cpuinf{o,o}" ... assuming that the inode
number really changed.

Could maybe someone with access to such a platform confirm this, please?
