You're right. The initial goal was to make a true difference for the
user between adding and updating an account. Originaly, the 'update'
button doesn't exist, and an add to an existing account was interpreted
as an update.

In case of multiple add, this avoid updating in place of adding with
only coordinates changes. But now, there is two different buttons. So
password2 checking is obsolete.

Thanks. But if you specify 'almost', I can make more accurate further
