Hi,
after updating to 4.6 the ics input box appears automatically when some
letter button is pressed. This is a nuisance as I have been using
letters as shortcuts for ics commands for years like "q" for resign and
"r" for rematch for years. They still work but also appear as input in
the box. I know that those commands are now available by using function
keys but it is quite hard to get accustomed to that. I strongly vote for
the input box being visible only if it is explicitely requested from the
menu or the command line.
And what about the "."? It used to show the last move. I just got
accustomed to it. (In the good old days just pressing ctrl was enough.)
Now it does nothing (except bringing up the input box and showing up
inside it).
