Hi Matt,
That was fixed in the following test release.
Here's the latest one:
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/fetish/textutils-2.0.21.tar.bz2
Tried it, and it compiles and tests perfectly using Caldera's
OSTools version of gcc-2.95.3. Thanks.
It bombs out using cc, though. So let me know if you want the info
on that, and I'll post a new thread.
Here's the relatively new FAQ (thanks to Bob Proulx!):
http://www.gnu.org/software/fileutils/doc/faq/core-utils-faq.html
Thanks for the info. Is there any way to get that listed on
the GNU site textutils page or the README?
http://www.gnu.org/directory/textutils.html
I'm not sure where I would have found the FAQ besides searching
google for it, though I admit I probably didn't dig too hard.
Here are the archives:
http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/bug-fileutils/
http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/bug-sh-utils/
http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/bug-textutils/
If you search google.com for something like this:
byte_re_match_2_internal "syntax error before" ptr
Aha. I din't think that google archived this list. When I tried
to look in the above links, they didn't have a search option, and
that's why I was confused.
Thanks again,
Matt
