Found it in the progeny archive - it is not there any more.
I'm not much proficient in python, so I only had a look at the test.py
they ship. There are interesting ideas there, which I did not
investigate with swig (automatically turning the get_next() funcs into
lists).
Nevertheless, there is a 1st snapshot at
http://ydirson.free.fr/soft/misc/
I did not wrap the exceptions either.
The swig-generated files are there, so you should not need it.
