o1bigtenor,

I find Ole's request reasonable and polite. It is not displayed at every use of parallel if you turn it off with --will-cite (per run) or --citation (forever). See also `man parallel_alternatives`.

Hmmmmmmmm - - - - except its a little bit like my mom reminding me of something that I should do and have been doing for some 30 + years.
Its not really a useful idea - - - - its a nag that should at most show up ONCE.
When it shows up because I'm using the program to save personal documents in a number of destinations simultaneously - - - - well that's now actually inappropriate.
That's why I filed it as a bug.
Method to permanently turn the verbiage off was really NOT clear in the notice either,
Yes there may be a use case where such a reminder is 'appropriate'.
When its NOT appropriate - - - - - well it becomes one of the things the M$ fanboi system listed as an absurdity (I think their system is even worse!).
Its called being appropriate - - - - and this notice is NOT appropriate in ALL circumstances!

Regards

PS  (I'm come to believe than man pages were created for only experts and to be great time wasters for the learning - - -which is why I hadn't tried something like your parallel_alternatives command previously.)
