OK, so far I've come up with the following solution:

It is implemented in the yesterday's commit (dfed0be6). Any comments
are welcome.

No, this code does not even compile :) It's one of the few remaining
leftovers that are wating for a rewrite.

Pre-alphas can be found here:
{http|ftp}://download.gnu.org.ua/pub/alpha/mailutils/
Look for tarballs marked `-2.99.91'. However, the latest is from June,
so better wait for the alpha, which I will release really soon now:)
