Hello,
(Sorry if this
inquiry is in any way inappropriate for this mailing list.)
I am trying to
write a cross platform email archiver (Linux/Windows/Unix). I currently have a
C++ prototype that uses MAPI to talk to MS Exchange Server (I am going to be
throwing this away in favor of a cross-platform solution). The parts of mailutils that I am
interested in are: POP3/IMAP4 client and RFC822 parser (so I won't really be
using the rest like the daemon or any front end tools).
I have been
reading http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/mailutils/ and
http://www.gnu.org/software/mailutils/.
So far I don't see any list of supported platforms. Judging from the nature of
GNU projects, I don't see a problem with it running in Linux/Unix. My question
therefore is this: Does mailutils work in Windows (POP3/IMAP4/RFC822
parser)? If not, how easy would it be for me to port the code to make it work in
Windows?
Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Marlon
