Dear all,
I have just pushed an initial version of the common
helper script located in 'tests/tools.sh.in'.
It is activated using
# tests/Makefile.am
BUILT_SOURCE = tools.sh
but I have not identified the correct setting to achieve
the erasure of "tests/tools.sh" in response to either of
"make distclean" or "make clean". The updating still takes
place, but the cleaning should be fixed.
The stage is now set for refactoring the test scripts by
putting common functionality in "tests/tools.sh.in".
