I think you will be better off to asking the authors of the other
packages (snd, lilypond, etc) for help. The problem seems to be with
the way they look for Guile.
Independent from that, does Guile work for you on its own? That is,
can you run "guile" and get a prompt? What does
$ guile-config info
print?
