Guile problem

Dear Sir,

Recently I've downloaded Guile 1.4 and installed it. I didn't did that to 
program, but to be possible to compile some other programs that I need to use.

When I was trying to configure those programs (snd, lylipond, etc.), all gave 
me the same message during the "./configure" process:

checking for Guile... ./configure: /usr/local/bin/guile-config: No such file or 
directory


I've tried to copy the file "guile-config" to that directory, but of course it 
didn't worked as well.

Is there any solution for this problem? I really needed to compile those 
programs and start working with them (otherwise I will have to go back to 
Windows - blaargh)
