That's bizarre.  I have no clue.

   guile-sdl.h:57: error: libguile.h: No such file or directory

That's a big problem.  Where is Guile installed?

   In file included from guile-sdl.h:60,

   snuggle/humdrum.h:76: error: guile/gh.h: No such file or directory
   c2x: preprocessor had problems (exit val 1)

This is probably related to the C preprocessor not being able to find
libguile.h.

   Now I'm sure we need someone with a Mac and a knowledge of make.

Knowledge of how Guile was built and where it was installed would be
helpful, too.  Could you please post the config.status file (gzipped)?

   Also there will be problems with SDL. SDL apps don't work out of the
   box on Macs and need a C wrapper to run."
