Distributions and GRUB

What is the policy of our group towards the releases of GRUB that
happen to be delivered by the distributions? 

I don't mind offering advice, but can we in good faith offer support?
And what about these sites that is being gated towards the list? The
last one that came in was from a board that sent out the message form
for the list, and in HTML mail. I thought the FSF frowned on HTML
mail, and even documents in proprietary formats?
