GRUB Removal - Impossible?!

Hey to you all :)

 

I recently formatted my disks where GRUB was resident, it used to be a dual boot (XP/RH). The problem I have now is that whenever I boot the computer it says:

 

GRUB

 

and just hangs. I've tried, per advice, fixboot and fixmbr but nothing seems to work. I tried writing on Linuxforums.org but wow, dead place ... at least in the forum I wrote in >_<

 

So, I thought I'd go straight to the source and ask what possible solutions to this problem there are.
