I admit to be totally unfamiliar with OpenStep/Cocoa. To my defence however, I 
also mentioned that
I wasn't sure about what I was saying. I merely supposed that FHS conformance 
is a good thing. I
apologise if you mistook this for a "I know better than you and you have to 
conform to this and
that because I say so"-attitude - I didn't intend it to come out like that.

I never made any comment whatsoever to this mailing list directly - I didn't 
even know it existed.
I commented on the Savannah bug tracker and my comment was probably 
automatically sent to the list
as well. This is my first post on the list.
