Hi! Thanks for the quick response. I agree that my absolute path in the
"Icon" entry isn't ideal. On the other hand, usually applications place their
icons in /usr/share/pixmaps, which is at least one location in which the gnome
menu creation code looks for the icon. Normally there is no need for absolute
icon paths because if a distro installs them in a nonstandard place, they
tweak their menu creation accordingly.
I'm not absolutely sure what I'm talking about here, but it appears that
according to the FHS you shouldn't be placing gorm-related stuff in /usr/lib
at all [1]. You might want to consider using /usr/share/ for
architecture-independant files [2], which would place the icons probably in
/usr/share/pixmaps (or /usr/share/pixmaps/gorm
I'm running Ubuntu, so the path I specified is the path that the icon can be
found under Ubuntu.
