Quick Draw helped a little (the graphics
didn’t look peculiar and then freeze; they were just frozen from the
start). I can find no tab for “hardware acceleration”.
My Vista machine is a four core machine.
An eight core one sounds very impressive. Once you have it up and
running, you should be able to see the problem clearly. In the meantime,
I will stick with the 2D version, and await your verdict on the situation.

Bug-gnubg Digest, Vol 65, Issue 21
I'm here! Just a bit
distracted at present. I should be getting access to a 64bit vista (8
core!) machine soon, so I'll be able to look at this.
As always trying to turn down/off "hardware acceleration" in the
display properties (no idea if this has changed in Vista),
will give an idea if the problem is with the graphics driver or the vista
opengl driver.

This is a brand new machine with all

Don't
know if Jon is online these days, but last time he told me the 3d code
will
undergo some changes. I had some weird issues and one of the thing that
partially
solved them (before a code fix) was to use the quick draw function
(Settings/Appearance/General,
check Quick drawing).
